Baltic Amber Bracelets & Anklets - different prices
There are many components that go into the price of Baltic amber.
It is important to first consider the size and shape of the amber beads: larger amber beads are rare and more valuable, so the price is likely to escalate depending on size of beads and weight of the final product.
The type of amber can also determine the price, Baltic amber pieces have more value than a piece of copal (Copal - young resin and a pretty alternative to the much more expensive Baltic amber).
Next, it is important to look at the shape. For example baroque rounded amber beads require more time to make. These amber beads are more expensive compared with other shapes because much material has to be removed (i.e., goes to waste) to create the shape.
Finally, inclusions, such as bugs or bees, also make a piece more valuable to a buyer.
